In case you didn’t know, our home country of Lithuania can be extremely cold during the winter, and this year we decided to swap the white snow-laden streets of Vilnius for the yellow sands and blue seas of Dubai.

Seeing the Tallest Twins next to some of the tallest buildings in the UAE was a sight that many fans, tourists, and locals wanted to capture, and it was great to meet new people from all around the world. We love to hear their stories and to tell them some of our own, and where possible, play a bit of basketball together.

Darjus and I often holiday together with our families — bringing together our wives and children, making the whole experience an unforgettable one. It’s also a great excuse to meet our friends and contacts around the world, and this time we had the opportunity to catch up with our good friend and business partner, Gediminas Ziemelis, Chairman of the board at Avia Solutions Group.

As well as aviation, Gediminas has also been involved in basketball in Lithuania for many years and there’s some exciting news to follow as the country celebrates 100 years of the national sport in our country. Watch this space for more details!
