Today Darjus and I had the honor to meet two exceptionally talented brothers, Kestutis and Vytautas Skucai. They challenged LavTwins to a 2 vs. 2 basketball match but there’s a twist!
Skucai brothers are Paralympic basketball champions, so naturally, the challenge involved sitting in a wheelchair. And oh, boy. If anyone ever thought that Paralympic sports are not significant or physically demanding, a few minutes with Kestutis and Vytautas will prove you wrong.
As we took our first few shoots, Darjus and I realized how weak our hands are compared to Skucai brothers. It took us at least three tries each to finally score since our height wasn’t helping. And don’t get us started on moving around in a wheelchair! Even though the opponents spared no praise for us, they were way out of our league.
Despite the terrible performance, there’s one specialty in which no brothers could beat LavTwins: telling jokes and making fun of each other! Perhaps we should challenge Vytautas and Kestutis to a joke-telling battle next time…
